Google AdSense is one of the ways to make money online. It can go a long way to not even earning 40 cents, but sometimes it can go up to a small fortune.
WHAT IS GOOGLE ADSENSE?
AdSense is a program created by Google that allows bloggers and website owners to make money by displaying google ads. We all see ads on most of the websites we visit, and most of these are ads by Google AdSense.
There are two ways to make money from Google AdSense:
- Impressions – This is based on how many visitors have read posts on your blog / site and viewed ads.
- Clicks – This is based on how many visitors of your blog / site have clicked on those ads (Never click on your ads)
To make it simple, you create a Google AdSense account and paste the code into your website. You can choose how and where your ads will appear, what ads you accept, etc. Once you reach the $100 minimum that Google AdSense has, Google will either send a check to your home or transfer them directly to your bank account.
Who is eligible to have an AdSense?
If you use Blogger, you can monetize and create an AdSense account.
If you have a website built with WordPress CMS, you can also create an AdSense account and display ads on your website. But not if you use wordpress for free (eg porositweb.wordpress.com).
Meaning, anyone who has created a website with a domain like porositweb.com, tesheshi.com is allowed to have an AdSense account, but not like porositweb.wordpress.com or tesheshi.weebly.com.
How much can I earn from AdSense?
As I mentioned earlier, you won’t get rich quick using AdSense. I personally made $30 for about 9 months, but last month I made $64. Again it is very little compared to other bloggers. There are people who work 24/7 and make a living only from Google AdSense revenue. But it takes a long time to reach that target. You need to have high visitor traffic to earn huge amounts.
Some ads are more valuable per click than others. It also depends on how many visitors you have per day, or the keywords the visitor has searched for, the percentage of how many visitors clicked on a single ad, etc. There are many factors that determine how much money you will make. Yesterday for example a click was paid me $ 2, and today a click not even 30 cents. Many people become obnoxious after displaying the Google AdSense code for several months and not even earning $ 10. But you have to be patient. Try to find ways to increase visitors traffic, place ads that interest your visitors, and so on.
How it can make the most of Google AdSense?
We covered the what is Google AdSense. But having AdSense isn’t enough to make money from it. In principle, to get more money from AdSense is to increase the number of website visitors.
When people have a problem, they usually go and search in search engines like Google, Bing or Yahoo. If you have a post about that problem on your site, using SEO will help you get your post on the first page of the search engines. SEO will also help the ads of AdSense to appear on the topic of that problem. Maybe that ad will solve the problem that the visitor has but hasn’t found in your post.
Example: Let’s say I have written an article about web sites. And I have used SEO techniques in that article to help Google understand what topic is in my post and my post will be second or third, on the front page of Google. When people google and search for the term “professional website”, AdSense will also know what topic my article has and will display an ad near that post eg “Create your own webpage for only $ 299”, etc.
What matters most is that your website / blog is updated daily with fresh articles, writing about topics you think your visitors are most interested in, increasing daily, weekly and monthly traffic to the blog and only then will AdSense earnings begin to increase.

You have now learned on what is Google Adsense. But there are a few things you should know before you can start displaying their code on your blog / site.
Never click on your ads. If you’re not afraid about this, know that Google pretty much knows everything. And they can tell if you’re clicking on your own ads. When I first opened my adsense account, I clicked about 50 times on my ads and was getting results starting from $ 400 a week, but the next week I got banned from their program.
Never encourage family members or friends to click on your ads. As mentioned above, don’t think that google can’t tell that you did it. I don’t know how they can tell, but I have seen many colleagues excluded from the AdSense program. Just DON’T DO IT !!.
You need to be alert to the clicks that you have on your ads. If the average has always been 10 clicks a month, and you suddenly get about 200 clicks in 2 days, there’s clearly something wrong. If you annoy someone and they don’t know how to take revenge on you but they know that you are working with Google Adsense and they start clicking on all your ads, you are going to get excluded from the AdSense program, even though you haven’t done anything wrong.
Do not use more than 3 ad spaces on a single page. Google allows up to 3 ad spaces per page. So if you have one at the top of the page, one at the right side and one at the bottom of the page, you shouldn’t have more than that. You also shouldn’t place ads on inappropriate placements on your site because you can lose visitors. Even if you are good at SEO strategies you should not place ads inappropriately. Because blog readers will get bored and never come back to your site. There are many ways to place ads without making your website ugly.
